Capturing the essence of achievement and celebration, I craft a cohesive visual identity imbedded with the ASU's spirit.

Utilizing the university's iconic colors and symbols, designs range from vibrant banners, elegant invitations, and eye catching social media assets. Every element exudes sophistication and school pride that resonate with graduates, faculty, and attendees alike.

It's about celebrating achievements while embracing the future with optimism and confidence.

Graduation Lockup:

For the past 5 years, I create and update our signature 3D lockup that is meant accompany the physical 3D sculpture that is commissioned by the City of Tempe and Arizona State University.

The sculpture is found at the Mountain America Stadium, but for those that cannot physically attend, our lockup and gifs get distributed through our social media toolkits to allow graduates and guests to celebrate virtually!

In designing gifs for graduation, I aim to capture the essence of celebration and accomplishment, by having simple yet affective designs that graduates and their loved ones can use for their personal social media uses.

AR FILTERS

Despite not being able to convene as a larger university unit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our goal was to increase participation at virtual ceremonies and commencement. Through digital activations, we provided highly engaging opportunities for graduates and families.

Blender was used to build and modify the 3D year signs (2020–2023), grad caps, tassles, and balloons.

Confetti filter was made Adobe Illustrator and build within Meta Spark.

American Advertising Awards (ADDYS) 2021 gold winner for Elements of Advertising in Augmented Reality category.

AR FILTERS – PROCESS

Process:

Since 2020, I have created and updated existing ASU commencement-themed AR filters. In order to have the filters uploaded to Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, I first had to build the objects within Blender. Items built for these filters include the 3D extruded year signs, the grad cap, the spiral rope, the grad cap, the tassel, and ASU medal.

Motion and interactive aspects were added within Spark AR and Snapchat Studio Lens.
